Alicia Alonso Qualifies for the Under-21 European Championship

This past weekend, two major European Taekwondo competitions were held in Tallinn, Estonia, in which the Ciudad de Logroño club participated with its standout athlete, Alicia Alonso.
On Friday, Alicia took part in the European Grand Prix, a competition for which she had earned qualification back in January in Albania, where she secured 5th place.
On Sunday, she competed in the European Club Championship. This tournament featured extremely high participation and an impressive level of competition, even attracting some national teams (such as Turkey). By reaching the semifinals, Alicia earned qualification for the Under-21 European Championship.
She returns from the competition not only with a European bronze medal but also with a place in the Under-21 European Championship to be held in December—at just 17 years old. This achievement highlights her excellent level and outstanding form, placing her among the best in the continent.
